Fairthorn Extra Care Retirement Apartments

Following the granting of planning approval for 29 extra care retirement apartments in December 2006, Methodist Homes completed on the acquisition of the land and buildings at Fairthorn, Dore, Sheffield.

Work commenced on site in 2007 to create a high-quality, high-value residential scheme to provide homeowners with independent living, but with the added benefit of supported care services through Methodist Homes.

The scheme was a joint venture with A Patrick Development Ltd, Termrim Construction’s sister company, which acted as development agent with responsibility for obtaining planning approval, detailed design and all aspects of sales and marketing.

The scheme of 29 two bedroom apartments for sale offered buyers the opportunity to purchase a home in one of the most sought after villages in the South Yorkshire area.

The development is close to the local amenities of Dore and also enjoys panoramic views of the tranquil surroundings of the Peak District.
